Peashooter

Strategy: The Peashooter is cheap & works great early on in the game but are not as effective later on towards the end of Plants Vs Zombies. The Peashooter costs 100 sun to produce & a normal fire rate. Use the Peashooter early on in the game but replace slowly.

Sunflower
Sun: 50
Damage: None
Extra: Produces 25 sun occasionally, even at night.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Sunflower is your first line of defense. Start building these first to generate sun power. Don't forget to protect them with defensive plant units & a mix of offensive plants to ward off zombies. Remember sunflowers can be replaced toward the final wave of zombies & replaced with offensive plants.

Cherry Bomb
Sun: 150
Damage: Massive, One-usage. Fires instantly.
Extra: Medium size splash damage.
Recharge: Slow
Strategy: Use your cherry bombs just like plastic explosives in this game to blast zombies to shreds. The cherry bomb can only be used once but it is quite effective. The way the cherry bomb works is you place it on a square & it will blow up the zombies in a square around it. These are good to save toward the end of a level to stop invasions.

Wall-Nut
Sun: 50
Damage: None
Extra: Extremely durable plant which takes zombies costly time to consume.
Recharge: Medium
Strategy: Use these giant Plants Vs Zombies potatos to block your plants like edible walls. The zombies love to eat these Wall-Nuts. It is cheap & effective against against most zombies except for those who can fly, bounce, or jump.

Potato Mine
Sun: 25
Damage: Massive damage, one time use, takes out all zombies on a single square, good for stopping tunnel miners.
Extra: Takes a decent amount of time to load but packs quite a punch for its sun points.
Recharge: Medium
Strategy: This is a item found earlier in the game that is cheap to produce however takes a decent amount of time to
become active, besides this certain zombies can bypass these mines such as the pole vaulting zombies & flying zombies.

Snow Pea
Sun: 175
Damage: Normal
Extra: Chills zombies when they are hit, also slows zombies down for a short period.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: This Plants Vs Zombies plant is best used with other plants such as Peashooter. Do not use this item with the torchwood, it will become less effective as frozen peas will thaw out, while fire peas also unfreeze zombies.

Chomper
Sun: 150
Damage: Massive
Extra: This plant has quite an appetite he eats zombies whole, while chewing him to pieces.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: This zombie can be used combined with other plants such as the Wall-Nut because he can stop pole vaulters eating them alive while also having the ability to eat zombies damaging Wall-Nut protecting his Plants Vs Zombie Buddy.

Repeater
Sun: 200
Damage: Normal (2x)
Extra: Shots 2x faster than Peashooter
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: Whats better then having a Peashooter in Plants Vs Zombies? Having two peashooters in one square. That is what the Repeater does for you & can be combined with the Torchwood to shoot fire peas at Zombies.

Puff-Shroom
Sun: 0
Damage: Normal
Extra: Short range (3x squares)
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Puff Shroom is a great Nocturnal Plant to use early on in the game. It does not require any sun to thrive & it is free to produce & fires spores at approaching zombies. Double up atleast 2 for your sunflowers early on. Then add more or add more advanced shooters.


Sun-Shroom
Sun: 25
Damage: None
Extra:
Produces 15 sun produced before evolving then produces 25 sun points per regeneration.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: These can be used to produce sun during night levels. They are nice because they are cheap to produce early on in Plants Vs Zombies night time play.
Fume-Shroom
Sun: 75
Damage: Normal, Splash hits all zombies in the fume-cloud.
Extra: Has the ability to shoot through Zombies with screens & ladders.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The main use of this plant is to damage zombies from a distance with the ability to penetrate zombies with ladders & screen doors. If you are using Puff Shrooms then these are an excellent upgrade to them adding distance plus its penetrating factor.
Grave Buster
Sun: 75
Damage: None
Extra: This item has to be planted on a single grave stone.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The only use of this item is to get rid of those pesky graves in your backyard that have been bothering you. While having the ability to chew through stone the Grave Buster is still vulnerable to Zombies so watch where you plant it because the Zombies can eat the Grave Buster.
Hypno-Shroom
Sun: 75
Damage: None
Extra: Tricks Zombies into eating other Zombies instead of your brains.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: The Hypno Shroom is good to be used on strong Zombies such as the Football Players that will Hypnotize the Zombie who ate the mushroom sending him on a rage attacking his fellow Zombies instead of eating your brains.
ScaredyShroom
Sun: 25
Damage: Normal
Extra: Has the ability to hide from above ground zombies.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: Scaredy Shroom is a night time mushroom who shoots spores at approaching zombies in long range battle & retreating back into the Plants Vs Zombies lawn. This plant is very cheap to use & charges fast.

IceShroom
Sun: 75
Damage: Low, One use only
Extra: Will freeze any zombie who is currently on the lawn.
Recharge: Slow
Strategy: The Ice Shroom packs quite a punch for its price in sun points. Use this Plants Vs Zombies plant against the massive waves of zombies that trouble you, but remember Ice Shroom has a slow charging rate.


DoomShroom
Sun: 25
Damage: Massive, Explosion
Extra: Puts a hole in your Plants Vs Zombies lawn.
Recharge: Slow
Strategy: What can I say about the Doom Shroom it is one of my favorite plants in the Plants Vs Zombies game. The impact the Doom Shroom leaves when it explodes is like a nuclear blast. This is another great plant to use vs approaching swarms of zombies.

Lilypad
Sun: 25
Damage: None
Extra: Required to put any plant in your Plants Vs Zombies pool.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: These are critcal in any mission with a pool. You can not plant any types of plants on the water like the Peashooter. Zombies normally don't enter the pool right away so you can focus on other tiles early on but don't neglect for to long.

Squash
Sun: 50
Damage: Massive, Will jump & squash down on any zombies in approaching tile, single usage.

Extra: One use only for the squash.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: You can plant the Squash in your backyard to stop approaching zombies like a land mine but more effective. Squash will spring up once any amount of zombies is close then come crashing down on them killing any above ground zombies who are in his way.

Threepeater
Sun: 325
Damage: Normal, 3X Peashooter
Extra: This is like the Peashooter but shoots forward up & down from his little plant cousin.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: This is a good unit to have because it takes up little space & it gets the job done. The Threepeater can be used with the Torchwood to shoot fire peas at the approaching zombies that are not flying or tunneling.
Tangle Kelp
Sun: 25
Damage: Massive, One use only
Extra: Can be put in the water.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: I like to use the Tangle Kelp against the dolphinrider zombies they are no match for them. You only get one shot with these but you can but them out periodically in the game to set traps for zombies.
Jalapeno
Sun: 25
Damage: Can only be used once, clears one row of zombies
Extra: none
Recharge: SLow
Strategy: The Jalepno is one angry plant in this game which is out for revenge on the zombies, set him anywhere in the lawn in the Plants Vs Zombies game & watch as the bodys hit the floor.

Spikeweed
Sun: 00
Damage: Medium Damage
Extra: Stops vehicles in their tracks, unedible.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The best spot for the Spikeweed is at the very right of the game field. As soon as the zombies start approaching they will be taking damage from the Spikewood. The Tall Nut is a great defense with this plant.

Torchwood
Sun: 75
Damage: Heavy Fire damage
Extra: Lights normal peas on fire increasing damage rates.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: Use the torchwood with the Tallnut, Threepeater & Spikewood for maximum damage against the zombie infestation. The Torchwood will melt any peas that are shot by the Snow Pea.


TallNut
Sun: 25
Damage: None
Extra: Stops jumping zombies, prown to ladders & flying zombies.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: The TallNut is like the WallNuts big brother in the Plants Vs Zombies game. He is more than twice expensive but he is maximum security. Use the TallNut with the Pumpkin for maximum value just watch out for the ladder zombies.

SeaShroom
Sun: 0
Damage: Normal, water shroom.
Extra: Aquatic, Nocturnal
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: The Sea Shroom is the Puff Shrooms cousin in a sense because they both do the same thing, the only difference between the two is that the Sea Shroom is in the water & The Puff Shroom is in the Plants Vs Zombies lawn.      

Plantern
Sun: 25
Damage: None
Extra: Clears an area of fog.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: The Plantern is for use in the Plants Vs Zombies fog levels because it helps you see where the zombies are coming from. It is vulnerable to attack so you need to defend it or else the fog will return to block your vision.

Cactus
Sun: 25
Damage: Normal
Extra: Shoots flying zombies & pops balloons.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The main advantage of using the Cactus in the game is to stop the Flying zombies with balloons from penetrating your defensive strategy. If the level has no balloon zombies replace this with the Peashooter it will help you win.

Blover
Sun: 100
Damage: None
Extra: Stops balloon zombies & blows Plants Vs Zombies fog away.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: For maximum effect use the Blover in any level that has Balloon zombies & Fog or just stick to the Plantern. The recharge rate is fast with this one, some are Plantern fans while others preffer to use the Blover.



Split pea
Sun: 25
Damage: Normal 2x peas.
Extra: Shoots both front & behind.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Split Pea is a good pea to use after zombies have penetrated your defenses & are heading toward your lawnmowers plant one of these & try to save the day while you use a TallNut & Pumpkin to defend your base.

Starfruit
Sun: 25
Damage: Normal 5x
Extra: Shoots in five different ways like a star would.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: You really want to protect the Starfruit with the Pumpkin because he is very vulnerable to a zombie attack & will die pretty fast. Make sure you protect this unit or you might as well not choose the Starfruit.

Pumpkin
Sun: 25
Damage: None
Extra: Protects plants from most hungry zombies.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: The Pumpkin is a great plant to use in combination with either the WallNut or the TallNut plant on the Plants Vs Zombies game. I recommend using these and the Magnet Shrooms to stop any zombies that might have found a ladder lying around.

MagnetShroom
Sun: 00
Damage: None
Extra: This will take various metal objects from the zombies such as screen doors, football helmets, ladders & buckets.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Magnet Shroom is a great item to have for those annoying zombies who have stolen all these metal objects from poor victims lawns. The Magnet Shroom will steal metal objects from zombies & collect coins at the same time it is a must have.

Cabbage Pult
Sun: 100
Damage: Normal
Extra: roof plant
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Cabbage Pult can come in handy during some of those pesky rooftop levels you encounter during the game. Place this plant on the rooftop in a flower pot, be sure to use pumpkins on the rooftop level to protect as many flower pots as possible.

Flower Pot
Sun: 25
Damage: None
Extra: Rooftop requirement.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: What the Flower Pot does is it allows you to plant various daytime plants on rooftop levels provided a pot is already placed on one of the free available tiles. It is not recommended to start any rooftop level without the Flower Pot equipped in your arsonel.

Kernel Pult
Sun: 100
Damage: (butter normal) (kernal low)
Extra: rooftop plant, temporary butter stop
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Kernal Pult is another plant in the Plants Vs Zombies series that is more useful on the rooftop levels. The Kernal Pult has the ability to shoot butter randomly which will stop zombies dead in their tracks for a given period of time.

Coffee Bean
Sun: 75
Damage: None
Extra: Revives sleeping plants.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: Trouble waking up your shrooms in the daytime then Coffee Bean is the answer for you. Wake up sleeping shrooms in the daytime like the Magnet Shroom. The Coffee Bean is cheap but remember it it only has a one time use.

Garlic
Sun: 50
Damage: None
Extra: Stops zombies from passing.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Garlic is an excellent plant to have in your fight against zombies. Plant Garlic at the end of all odd rows then use these rows to grow sunflowers & build defenses on your even rows. Tall Nut & Torchwood combined with Repeater & Gatling Pea packs quite a punch.
Umbrella Leaf
Sun: 100
Damage: None
Extra: Prevents Bungee zombies & Catapult zombie attacks.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The advantage of having the Umbrella Leaf is to use in combat against the Bungee Zombies & basketball attacks from the catapult zombie. Umbrella Leaf will protect plants that it surrounds.


Marigold
Sun: 50
Damage: None
Extra: Produces Plants Vs Zombies money.
Recharge: Normal
Strategy: The Marigold is used to generate a cash flow of both gold & silver coins in the gamefield. If you are short on cash plant a group of these surrounded by the Golden Magnet to bring in some spare cash.

Melon Pult
Sun: 300
Damage: Heavy
Extra: Group damage, rooftop plant.
Recharge: Fast
Strategy: The Melon Pult is an expensive plant but packs quite the punch. This is a serious contendor later on in rooftop battles. The melons explode on impact which will deal damage to surrounding zombies close by.
